The Festival of Nations\, produced annually
by the International Institute of St. Louis\, is the region's largest multi
cultural event. Since its inception in 1934\, this two-day festival\, atten
ded by over 100\,000 people\, has been open to the public and showcases the
traditions\, flavors\, sounds\, and art of more than 80 nations.
When people from different cultures come together to share music
\, food\, art\, and traditions\, we have the opportunity to understand each
other on a deeper and more personal level. This creates a sense of unity w
here every culture is seen as unique and special\, and no culture is truly
foreign.
