In observance of Maternal Health Week, IDEAS at DOM and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology collaborated with the Department of Psychiatry for their Health Equity Speaker Session on April 15th. The session featured a screening of the documentary “Toxic – A Black Women’s Story,” which delved into the factors affecting the pregnancy experiences of many Black women. The screening set the stage for a facilitated panel discussion on reducing infant and maternal deaths. The panel, facilitated by Chiffontae Ross (OB/GYN), included the following panelists:
