National Disability Employment Awareness Month

National Disability Employment Awareness Month

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is observed every October in the United States to raise awareness about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. In 2024, NDEAM will continue its mission to promote inclusive work environments and highlight the importance of ensuring equal opportunity for all workers, regardless of disability.

The theme for NDEAM 2024 is “Access to Good Jobs for All” and is set by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).  The theme underlines the commitment to fostering a more inclusive workforce. Various events, workshops, and educational programs will be organized across the country to educate employers about the value of hiring individuals with disabilities and to promote accessibility and accommodation in the workplace. Through these efforts, NDEAM aims to not only increase public awareness but also inspire actionable changes that support the professional growth and inclusion of people with disabilities, ultimately contributing to a more diverse and productive workforce.
