IDEAS at DOM Collaborates to Host Programming for Mindfulness Month 2025

In October, the IDEAS at DOM Hear Initiative came together with the Mindfulness Science & Practice with support from the Incubator for Transdisciplinary Futures and the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies to plan Mindfulness Month 2025.  Activities were held on both the WashU Danforth and Medicine campuses and provided an opportunity for attendees to connect to nature, themselves and others. 

Activities on the WashU Medicine campus included:

  • Breathe In, Breathe Out with Julian Lines
  • Laughter Yoga facilitated by Eileen Wolfington
  • Serene Strings Harp Music played by Dr. Lisa Gilbert
  • Drum Circle led by Dr. Gladys Smith
  • Resonant Rest led by Dr. Diana Parra Perez
  • Compassion & Forgiveness for Self & Others with Lillian Cloud
  • Caring for self, others, and nature presented by Dr. Shirley Ashauer
