About the Program

WashU’s Pride Scholars is an innovative initiative designed for high school students who are interested in a career in healthcare, and/or interested in the health of LGBTQIA+ populations.

The program consists of four hours of interactive sessions on four consecutive Saturday mornings from October 25 – November 15, 2025. Each morning will include a lecture on a health topic related to LGBTQIA+ health, an activity introducing participants to a local non-profit organization, and an information session and workshop on a select healthcare career.

Students who participate in the Pride Scholars program will engage in 1-on-1 mentorship with a WashU Medicine faculty, resident, or student, receive a certificate of completion, and become part of a like-minded network of individuals.
