On Tuesday, August 22nd the Washington University Internal Medicine Residency Program hosted their first Gateway to Residency Program event. Sixteen selected fourth-year medical students participated in a highly focused workshop that prepared them to submit for the upcoming residency application cycle.
Participants had the opportunity to:
- Hear expert advice from the Internal Medicine Program Director and Faculty.
- Fine-tune their personal statement
- Hone their interview skills
- Leverage social media during the application process
- Network with Internal Medicine residents
- Develop long-lasting mentorship relationships with WU faculty and house staff
