FREE LUNCH and VIDEO SCREENING as we raise awareness about World AIDS Day and HIV/AIDS in the St. Louis community

Did you know:

  • World AIDS Day is December 1?
  • World AIDS Day, founded in 1988,  was the first ever global health day?
  • This year the St. Louis World AIDS Day is being coordinated by our own Washington University School of Medicine Infectious Diseases Clinic in cooperation with the St. Louis Region World AIDS Day Committee?

Then, plan to attend the World AIDS Day events at the Missouri History Museum from 3-7 pm on December 1. See flyer attached or go to http://mohistory.org/node/59326 for more information.

The World AIDS Day event on December 1st will include a viewing of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, a screening of the film Still Around, and a performance by The Gateway Men’s Chorus. The first Annual Red Ribbon Awards will be announced as well as vendor exhibits demonstrating their dedication to the St. Louis HIV/AIDS community. The evening will conclude with a Memorial Vigil to honor the lives affected by HIV/AIDS and to encourage hope for the future.
