My primary research interests are to improve the quality of care for patients with sexually transmitted diseases. Using large databases of patients seeking care for STIs, we hope to develop a cooperative, regional approach to identify disparities in health care and reduce STI rates. Our research questions strive to improve care for priority populations such as sexual and gender minority persons, pregnant women, and racial minority persons. I also collaborate with researchers in microbiome work, especially focused on bacterial vaginosis.
